I wanted a felt story to go with this, but didn't want to make a trillion felt pieces so I came up with this.
Here is a poem I made to go with it:
Kissing Hand
by Analisa Carrillo
Chester
the Raccoon
really
missed his mom.
So
she gave him a kiss
in
the middle of his palm.
The kiss helps him,
when
they are apart.
Can
you help him
find the matching heart?
We placed all the hearts on the board, put a heart in one hand and had each child find the matching heart. When the found it we went over the color and had them place it in the palm of the other hand. For the patterns I traced my hand and cut out different sized hearts.

ReplyDeleteHi Amy! I really appreciate your comment! I have to admit, I was going to stop posting because I thought no one was reading it lol. But you have inspired me. Even if you are the only one reading I will try to my best to post as often as I can. Thanks for the compliments and I hope you will find more ideas here :)
DeleteI'm reading! Super cute! I find that no one reads my blog until I submit to Flannel Friday and then I get a ton of page views. Almost 50,000 up to date.
ReplyDeleteHi Tara, well you just got another pageview lol. I stopped by your blog and it's amazing!
DeleteI love the title of your blog! Very cute poem. My daughter's kindergarten teacher just read this to the class recently and now she and my 3 yr old son keep giving me kissing hands :) They would probably like this poem.

ReplyDeleteHi Sarah. The name of my blog really fits me ;) The three year olds in my class were kissing their hands and their art project which was their handprint with a heart in the middle. Thanks for reading.
